Ormoc's biggest annual celebration, the PIÑA FESTIVAL celebrates the Ormoc Queen pineapple to coincide with the feast day of the city's patron saints, Saints Peter and Paul, which is June 29. It features a major competition among different school contingents, involving a pageant and street dancing.

With the grace of God, our school has emerged as the Grand Champion for the first three editions of the competitions, from 2017 to 2019! (Watch our winning moments last June 2019.)

This 2022, the STI College-Ormoc contingent triumphed as the Piña Festival Queen!

More than a social competition, STI uncovers the innate talents of students nationwide. Starting from the local level to the cluster level, and finally culminating in national competition, students get the chance to showcase their passions while refining their character and craft at the same time.

With a grand finale at Enchanted Kingdom, it’s no wonder that the STI Talent Search competition is the biggest and most anticipated event for STIers.

From Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, STI gives students a chance to showcase their knowledge and abilities in the annual Tagisan ng Talino (TNT) academic competition. With a wide range of events, students from all courses get the chance to prove that they are the best.

Tagisan ng Sining (TNS) is an annual competition where students’ artistry, creativity, and originality come into play.

Not everything can be learned inside the classroom. Guided by this belief, STI goes around the country every year for the National Youth Convention (NYC) with experts and professional speakers in the field to give students an inside look of what goes on in the industry and valuable insights they wouldn’t get anywhere else.

Grit, discipline, and a strong mental fortitude are just few of the many things that athletes develop through training and game play. Aside from building physical strength, STI believes that sports strengthen character and inspires solidarity in the community.

In every competition, an athlete summons his competitive spirit that brings out the best in him. STI supports such endeavors to strengthen the holistic development of every STI student through the yearly campus-initiated Sports Festival and National Tournaments.
