ACTIVITIES & COMPETITIONS

These are the activities enjoyed by the students of STI College-Ormoc.

STI is the only school in Ormoc City that holds annual network competitions—both academic and artistic—that pit its students against the best in the entire country! Winners of the Local Finals are sent to battle against other STI campuses in the region. Finally, the Cluster Champions compete against other regional winners in the National Finals.

Showcasing the world-class talent of Ormocanons, our campus has already produced National Champions in the Hataw Sayaw and Travelogue competitions of the STI Network events.

STI Talent Search

Undoubtedly one of STIers’ most anticipated annual network competitions is the STI Talent Search

Starting from the local level to the cluster level, and finally culminating in national competition in Enchanted Kingdom, students get the chance to showcase their passions while refining their character and craft at the same time.

Our very own, Project Atmos was crowned Champion at the 2023 Hataw Sayaw National Finals, after finishing as 1st Runner-up in 2022, and 2nd runner-up in 2018 and 2019.

Ormoc Piña Festival

Ormoc’s biggest annual celebration, the PIÑA FESTIVAL celebrates the Ormoc Queen pineapple to coincide with the feast day of the city’s patron saints, Saints Peter and Paul, which is June 29. It features a major competition among different contingents, involving a pageant and street dancing.

With the grace of God and the dedicated work of our students and employees, our school has emerged as the Grand Champion for the first six editions of the competitions: 2017, 2018, 2019, 2022, 2023, and 2024! (STI was also the Champion at the last edition of the Tugob Festival last 2015.)
